Yuri E. Peterkin, MD, was born and raised on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and graduated from Antilles School. Dr. Peterkin earned a BA in Biology from Johns Hopkins University (2008) and his MD from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (2012). He completed an internal medicine internship at Howard University Hospital (2013) prior to a diagnostic radiology residency at NYU Winthrop Hospital (2017). Dr. Peterkin then completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and intervention at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School (2018).
Dr. Peterkin is board certified in diagnostic radiology and interprets X-rays, Ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, and nuclear medicine. He also performs of a variety of image-guided procedures including: image guided pain management injections such as joint injections, tendon and nerve sheath injections, epidural steroid injections and other spine injections, image guided joint and fluid aspirations, and image-guided bone and soft tissue biopsies.
